Location:   Charleston, West Virginia, USA

Services:   Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering.  Construction Managment, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning,  Operating Team training (DCS/ SIS logic and control strategies) 

Responsibilities:       

• Revise existing and develop new P&IDs.

• Emergency Shutdown System (SIS) (CEMS, logic narratives, boolean logic, programming and full testing).

• Distributed Control System (DCS) (Narratives, logic diagrams, programming and full testing).

• Replacement of all old pneumatic field instrumentation with new electronic instrumentation.

• Replacement of all analytical systems. 

• Support site work as required (construction QA/QC, commissioning and startup).

• Manage Site I&E subcontractor with manpower in the range of between 100 – 200 field technicians.

• Manage all purchasing for new Instrumentation, including but not limited to the following:

  • Creation of RFQs including in particular all technical specifications and other attachments. 

  • Bid Tabulation Review and Purchase Order award recommendation.

• WIE also took over the complete electrical design and support part way through the project (90% Engineering Complete) after USM ran into difficulties in this discipline.

• WIE continues to provide remote support to USM for this site for the control systems and electrical discipline.
